Growing out of a conversation with Arts in Orange (an active partner of VLA in the SSI Project), VLA is pleased to present a new original service for the arts community to answer arts-related legal questions in all artistic disciplines. The program gives individual artists, arts organizations, arts councils and other arts service organizations access to experienced arts and entertainment attorneys to answer their questions in one of two formats.
- An Interactive Workshop led by attorneys who answer an audience’s questions in a live panel format.
- The second option, available to arts councils and other arts service organizations is a VLA Ask the Lawyer column for the organization’s newsletters and websites.
- Upon request, VLA also prepares custom-made articles on legal issues tailored to the needs of those organizations and their constituents. VLA authored articles on copyright, trademark and corporate issues that have appeared in various publications.
