Through the VLA Holiday Card Program, VLA offers access to more than 75 unique and beautiful images for use on your personal or corporate annual holiday cards. The program is part of VLA’s ongoing efforts to serve the arts community, as well as to support and publicize VLA’s mission and programs. Access to the original art has been generously donated to VLA by artists and galleries.
How the Program works:
- VLA offers a license to an image you select for use on holiday cards. Participants may make their own arrangements with vendors to produce the cards, or you can work with VLA for assistance.
- Participants may customize most features of cards (size, paper, inside greeting) to their own specifications. VLA is happy to consult and to make suggestions about specifics.
- The back of each card will include: (a) the name of the artist and copyright notice; and (b) VLA’s logo with the statement: “This card helps to support the mission and programs of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.”
- VLA and the artist reserve the right to approve the final draft of the card.
- The image may be licensed on an exclusive or nonexclusive basis depending on the fee paid to VLA.
Program Image Usage fees:
- Non-exclusive license for up to 2,500 cards: $1,000
- Non-exclusive license for more than 2,500 cards: $1,500
- Exclusive Image Usage for the 2007 Holiday Season: $5,000
The fees are for usage of the VLA Holiday Card Images only.
A selection of preprinted cards is also available for $2 per card with optional customization for a fee of $125.
