Andres Serrano

World-renowned photographer and VLA Board Member Andres Serrano donated an edition of one of his photographs to VLA as part of VLA's celebration of 35 years of service to the arts community.

Importantly, Mr. Serrano created an 14" x 11" size edition of one of his most well-known works, Piss Elegance. The work, in color, is from the same series as Andres' most famous and controversial work, "Piss Christ". As the name of the work implies, it is an extremely beautiful and elegant image. Moreover, at the present time there is only one edition in a smaller size of any of the number of works in "Piss Christ" series. The photograph was donated with the cooperation and approval of Mr. Serrano's longtime dealer, Paula Cooper Gallery.
