Membership

VLA is deeply grateful to the hundreds of law firms, individuals, foundations, corporations, and government agencies for their extraordinary generosity and support. This year VLA raised over three quarters of a million dollars from our Special Events, Foundation, Government, Law Firm and Corporate Membership programs.

Over the years, VLA’s activities have been particularly supported by our law firm and corporate members. The list of members as well as the level of law firm and corporate support also continues to grow.

Individual Annual Membership and Benefits

Benefits of membership

Everyone who is a VLA Member is entitled to enjoy:

    • Discounts on VLA seminars, workshops, publications, and MediateArt services
    • Reduced consultation and case list referral fees for eligible matters
    • Access to VLA clinic appointments for appropriate matters
    • Invitations to all Member Events

In addition, Arts Organization Members are entitled to:

    • Reduced Speaker’s Fees for private classes
    • Employees and members of Organizations who are VLA Members may join VLA
      individually at a discounted rate of $100 per year
    • Reduced consultation and case list referral fees for eligible matters

Young Associate Members (YAM), VLA’s membership category exclusively for young lawyers and professionals generally in their 1st – 4th years of practice and career enjoy all the benefits of individual members, as well as:

    • Invitations to Art & Law Residency program events and parties
    • Invitations to opening cocktail receptions for select art events
    • Invitations to the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) events and parties
    • Advance and discounted tickets to VLA benefits
    • Free or discounted CLE classes for lawyers
    • Discounted career counseling sessions

Organizing a fundraiser event? Donate the proceeds to VLA!

Many students, lawyers, artists, and arts organizations help VLA by coordinating lectures, parties, and concerts, donating the proceeds to VLA. You can do the same! It's simple and guaranties the continuation of VLA's services to the arts community.

One-Time Donations

VLA has seen an increase in demand for pro bono legal services, in-house consultations, legal clinics, and educational programming, and we expect 2012 to be even more demanding. Would you like to support more VLA legal services and educational programming?
