INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

Individual, Artist and Attorney Membership

An Individual Membership entitles you to access to the VLA Legal Clinic, discounts on VLA programs, services and publications, and invitations to member events. In addition, Organizational Membership entitles individual employees and individual members of the organization to join VLA at a discounted rate of $100 per year.

Everyone who is a VLA Member is entitled to enjoy: 

• Discounts on pro bono consultations (financial eligibility guidelines apply)
• Discounts on VLA seminars, workshops, MediateArt services, and selected arts-law related publications
• Access to free members-only Legal Clinics
• Invitations and discounts to our Summer and Fall Benefits

In addition, Arts Organization Members are entitled to:

• Reduced Speaker's Fees for private classes
• Employees and members of Organizations who are VLA Members may join VLA individually at a discounted rate of $100 per year
• Reduced consultation and case list referral fees for eligible matters

 

Membership Levels:


Arts Professional
(one-year membership):

$75 - Student Membership
(you must be a full time student)
$175 - Arts Professional Membership

Legal Professional
(one-year membership):

$200 - Legal Professional Membership Level 1
(5 to 7 years experience)
$250 - Legal Professional Membership Level 2
(8+ or more years experience)


Non Profit Organizations
(one-year membership):

$350 - Level 1: annual budget of $10,000 or less
$500-1,000 - Level 2: annual budget $10,000 to $50,000
$1,000-2,000 - Level 3: annual budget $50,000 to $100,000
$2,000-3,000 - Level 4: annual budget of $100,000 to $250,000
$3,000-5,000 - Level 5: annual budget of $250,000 to $500,000
Level 6: annual budget of $500,000 or above

Tax Exemption

For-Profit Entities
(one-year membership):

$350 - Level 1: annual budget of $10,000 or less
$450 - Level 2: annual budget $10,000 to $50,000
$550 - Level 3: annual budget $50,000 to $100,000
$650 - Level 4: annual budget of $100,000 to $250,000
$850 - Level 5: annual budget of $250,000 to $500,000
Level 6: annual budget of $500,000 or above
